The Department of Information Systems is a research and teaching Department at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
Information Systems is the study of the interaction between people and technology. The discipline uses hardware and software as tools to solve business and organisational problems. Information Systems combines business principles such as accounting and management, with the study of computing.
The Department has research expertise in the following areas:

We currently have 19 members of academic staff, 12 administrative and technical staff, 65 Graduate research and honours students, 67 postgraduate coursework students, and 245 undergraduate students across all years and courses.
