DIS Downtown Seminars
The Department of Information Systems presents a regular series of evening industry seminars in the Melbourne CBD, in association with Multimedia Victoria and the Australian Computer Society.
The seminars focus on key issues facing the ICT industry industry in Australia, and highlight the Department of Information Systems' world-leading research in areas such as Organisational and Social Issues in Information Systems, Information Security, Health Informatics, and Interaction Design and Usability.
Popular recent seminars have covered topics such as outsourcing during a period of global economic downturn, ICT skills needs in Australia for the next decade, and designing usable and useful systems.
Details of upcoming seminars will be posted here. Attendees will need to RSVP to Louisa Wilson for each seminar they wish to attend.
